CoP Inclusive Communication #4 – Inclusive storytelling and genres in the communication practice
How can we make our communication work more ethical, inclusive, and just in all senses? Not only through the stories we tell, or the words and images we use, but also in our ways of working with our international partners and communities involved. Partos and The Expertise Centre of Humanitarian Communication started a Community of Practice (CoP) Inclusive communication in which members and their partners can engage in learning and innovating current communication strategies toward a more inclusive and ethical working practice. On October 4th, we meet again online!
The Community of Practice Inclusive Communication will meet again on October 4th to share the learnings, knowledge and innovation on inclusive communication in the development sector. The topic of this meeting is “Inclusive storytelling and genres in communication”.
Wouter Oomen & Emiel Martens will share a concept of the new Future brief on storytelling and genres in communication. During and after the presentation, there will be plenty of time for interaction and questions by the participants.
Also, one of the goals of this community is to work towards a handbook with guidelines and best practices on inclusive communication and related narratives and glossaries. As a starting point, we created a draft table of contents, which we would like to discuss with the Community of Practice.
