Workshop Session Lau Schulpen: The State of the Sector – what can we learn from each other?

Join us for an engaging workshop as we delve into the newly released ‘State of the Sector’ report, published in early 2025 by CBF and Radboud University, which includes the groundbreaking Dutch Charities Index. This report sheds light on the intricate world of Dutch charities. We will specifically examine the distinctions between charities in the international development sector (INGOs) and those in other areas, such as animal welfare and health. Are Dutch INGOs truly facing different challenges? Are they under more pressure than their counterparts in other fields? More importantly, what lessons can they learn from each other and from charities outside their sector?

Workshop Session: CBF-Certification, Oversight and Trust — Strengthening the Relationship in Times of Change Gabrielle Gerlach

In an era of growing societal scrutiny, shrinking budgets, and evolving donor expectations, the relationship between certified organizations and their auditors is more important than ever. In this interactive session, we bring together certified organizations and CBF as auditing body for an open exchange. Through real-world cases and peer dialogue, we will explore how to navigate these challenges, foster mutual understanding, and strengthen the collective value of certification—not only within our sector, but in society at large. Join us in rethinking oversight as a shared responsibility for impact and trust.

Workshop Bér Engels Communicating change

These are turbulent times for NGOs. How do you, as a CEO, guide your organisation through change with clarity, credibility and cohesion? Join Bér Engels for a focused, one‑hour workshop designed specifically for NGO leaders. He will work with evidence‑based models and real‑world cases to sharpen the narrative, synchronise internal and external messaging and communication traffic and embed two‑way executive feedback to steer your organisation through turbulence.

As usual, this will be followed by drinks where there will be ample opportunity to continue talking with the network.
