Exploring Together
We want to use this meeting to get to know each other better, share experiences, and explore together how collaboration between diaspora organisations and organisations in the field of international cooperation can be strengthened. What challenges and areas of concern do participants see, for example, regarding equality, roles and expectations, representation, and finding an appropriate form of collaboration?
This meeting is explicitly not a presentation or a one-way discussion. We want to create space for interaction and an open conversation among different organisations and perspectives.
Among other things, we will discuss:
- What experiences have there been with collaboration between diaspora organisations and Partos members?
- What makes a collaboration valuable and based on equality?
- What challenges or areas of concern do we encounter in practice?
- What opportunities do we see for new forms of collaboration?
- What are the needs of both diaspora organisations and Partos members?
- How can we work together to build a new future for international cooperation?
We will incorporate the outcomes of this meeting into the further development of the New Coalitions for International Cooperation. In this way, we aim not only to forge new relationships but also to build together a broader societal coalition around international cooperation while simultaneously renewing the future of development cooperation together.
Who is this for?
The meeting is intended for Partos members who collaborate with diaspora organisations or wish to explore such collaboration, as well as for diaspora organisations interested in collaborating on international issues. You do not need to have an existing partnership. In fact, if you’re curious about making new connections, you’re more than welcome to join us.
