Andy Wehkamp candidate chairman of Partos

The board of Partos is pleased to nominate Andy Wehkamp as the new chairman of the board. The members are invited to ratify this appointment during the meeting of 17 April 2025. Andy brings a great deal of relevant knowledge to the organisation, as shown by her experience as a director of organisations such as PUM and SNV. She also has a lot of international work experience and knows the sector from the inside. “Andy’s professional vision and personal values align well with those of Partos. With her, Partos has an authoritative and unifying chairman, which is very important in these uncertain times for the Dutch development cooperation sector, according to Erik Ackerman, vice-chairman of the board.

Partos has an important role to play in supporting cooperation within the sector

Andy Wehkamp: “There is quite a lot at stake with the announcement of major cutbacks in the coming period. The consequences for development cooperation are really close to my heart. More than ever, it is important to show together how we can really make a difference with relatively modest resources. Demonstrating our effectiveness and becoming even more effective is a shared responsibility. Collaboration and partnerships are essential for this. Partos has an important role in supporting this collaboration within the sector and also in making our voices heard together. ”

Andy succeeds Hans Bruning in April

Hans Bruning’s term of two times three years as chairman will end in April 2025. The board is very grateful to Hans for his valuable efforts. With the approval of the GA, Andy will take over from him in April. Hans will remain chairman until then and ensure a smooth transfer. During the spring GA, Hans’ farewell will be discussed extensively.
