About UNOY Peacebuilders
The United Network of Young Peacebuilders (UNOY) is a unique youth-led global network of 100+ youth peace organisations from 70+ countries around the world, promoting the participation of young people in peacebuilding around the world. UNOY is a dynamic organisation working towards the vision of a world free from all forms of violence, where young people have the power to transform conflict, youth participation is real and meaningful for all, and young people actively partner for peace without fear or threat.
The network is coordinated by an International Secretariat (IS) with an annual budget of EUR 900.000+, based in The Hague and is established as a foundation under Dutch Law. The IS is managed by a Management Team (MT) composed of two young Co-Directors. The UNOY Peacebuilders Board currently consists of eight members supporting the IS with specific portfolios: HR, organisational finances, fundraising, communications, and advocacy. The Board meets every 1,5-2 months, and in total 6-8 times a year, generally in The Hague (alternating in person meetings in the office with online ones). All Board members commit to preparing for and attending Board meetings, as well as occasional involvement in other activities, relevant to the expertise they bring in (on average up to five hours per month).
