Leave No One Behind

Marginalised people are often excluded from development and invisible, even for decision-makers and managers of projects and programmes. Leaving no one behind (LNOB) is the central, transformative promise of the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development and its Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). It represents the commitment of all UN Member States to eradicate poverty in all its forms, end discrimination and exclusion, and reduce the inequalities and vulnerabilities that leave people behind and undermine the potential of individuals and humanity as a whole.

Extremely poor and marginalised groups are often invisible and therefore often overlooked when development programmes are designed. As a result, those who could benefit from economic developments generated by development programmes the most, are not reached. But who are these people that are currently not reached by development programmes? And how can we ensure that our own interventions really reach those that are in most need? These, among other questions, are subjects that we discuss in the Partos Leave No One Behind Platform.

The Partos Leave No One Behind Platform was initiated by Partos members to develop, share and promote knowledge, innovative solutions and policies that contribute to ending poverty and exclusion. The Platform consists of organisations and actors working to realize inclusive development.
