Rolien Sasse over haar boek en de toekomst van rechtvaardige vrede
Tijdens de ALV verzorgt Rolien Sasse, directeur van PAX, de keynote speech. In haar lezing deelt zij inzichten uit haar nieuwe boek, waarin zij de vraag stelt hoe we in een veranderende wereld kunnen blijven werken aan vrede die niet alleen de afwezigheid van oorlog is, maar ook de aanwezigheid van rechtvaardigheid.
Het boek biedt een scherp en eerlijk beeld van de spanningen waarmee vredesorganisaties vandaag te maken hebben: hoe ga je om met de groeiende militarisering van Europa, met maatschappelijke polarisatie, en met de druk om meetbare resultaten te laten zien in een complexe werkelijkheid? Sasse nodigt uit tot reflectie én tot gezamenlijke actie: wat betekent het om als maatschappelijke organisaties geloofwaardig te blijven in tijden van crisis en geopolitieke verschuiving?

Rolien Sasse on her new book and the future of just peace
Rolien Sasse, director of PAX, will give the keynote speech at the upcoming General Meeting. In her lecture, she will share insights from her new book, in which she asks how we can continue to work for peace in a changing world, peace that is not only the absence of war, but also the presence of justice.
The book offers a sharp and honest picture of the tensions that peace organizations face today: how do you deal with the growing militarization of Europe, with social polarization, and with the pressure to show measurable results in a complex reality? Sasse invites reflection and joint action: what does it mean to remain credible as civil society organizations in times of crisis and geopolitical shift?
