The current Strategic Partnership Programmes focus on lobby and advocacy strategies that are implemented by alliances of civil society organisations. The programmes are financially supported by the Netherlands Ministry of Foreign Affairs as part of their Civil Society Strengthening Programme (2021-2025). The overarching programme theme of Strengthening Civil Society is divided into four sub-programmes: Power of Voices, Power of Women, SRHR Partnership Fund and Women, Peace and Security.
Partos learning and innovation aims to be flexible and adaptive to any changes in the context and learning needs by the organisations involved. As such, as part of our learning agenda for the new strategic partnerships, we’ll build on the lessons learnt within the previous strategic partnership programmes Dialogue & Dissent (2016-2020) by exploring the ‘knowledge products’ and key themes of those programmes. This, as well as the advisory group, will then feed in and determine the learning activities related to the (new) Civil Society Strengthening Programmes.
Since the Corona outbreak our learning meetings have moved online, which has allowed for more Southern participation in our activities. For the coming years we will further build on this experience by making more use of virtual platforms to contribute to South-North learning.
In addition, the learning activities will be supported by practice based research for which Partos is in cooperation with Radboud University, Wageningen University, and their Southern partners.
