Climate Training Officer (32-40 hours)
CARE Vision for Climate Justice
CARE International is a global confederation working together in over 100 countries to overcome poverty and deliver social justice. Climate Justice is one of the 6 impact areas of CARE’s 2030 vision. For CARE, climate justice means a future where the poorest and most marginalized have improved their wellbeing significantly. Where women and men can enjoy their human rights due to increased resilience to climate change, increased equality and a global temperature rise that is limited to 1.5°C.
The Climate Justice Center
The CARE Climate Justice Center (CJC), hosted by CARE Nederland, is CARE International’s Global Team working on climate justice. The CJC’s main goal is to coordinate and enable the integration of climate justice and resilience across CARE’s development and humanitarian work. We achieve this by sharing tools and fostering knowledge exchange between our 100+ global offices and local partners, validating and analysing internal impact data on climate justice, facilitating learning through the CARE Climate & Resilience Academy, and undertaking and supporting advocacy efforts at global, regional and national level.

The Academy aims to give humanitarian and development practitioners the necessary knowledge to understand climate change and provide them with skills and tools so that they are better able to address climate change in their programs and tackle its causes and consequences.
