Fashion Internship – European Fashion team

About the European Fashion Team
The European Fashion Team works on sustainability challenges in cotton, textiles, and leather, collaborating with brands, suppliers, policymakers, and other stakeholders to promote responsible purchasing practices, climate action, and systemic change in the fashion industry.
Job Description
We are looking for a motivated intern to support the European Fashion Team within the Policy Influencing and Corporate Engagement and Partnerships teams. You will contribute to research, communications, and day-to-day activities that support our work with fashion brands, donors, and partners.
Key Responsibilities
Your tasks will include, but are not limited to:
- Conducting desk research on topics such as responsible purchasing practices, sustainable fashion supply chains, and corporate sustainability approaches
- Supporting research interviews with brands, experts, and other stakeholders (preparation, note-taking, synthesis of insights)
- Assisting the team and managers in their daily coordination and operational work
- Supporting the development of pitches and proposals for donors, brands, and partners
- Contributing to marketing and communications materials, including presentations, briefs, factsheets, and talking points
- Supporting work on decarbonization, climate change, and environmental impact reduction in fashion supply chains
- Maintaining and updating internal information and customer relationship management systems
- Supporting other fashion-related tasks as agreed with your supervisor
Your Profile
You are inspired by sustainable fashion and recognize yourself in the following:
- Strong affinity with the fashion, textile, cotton, or leather industry; prior study, internship, or work experience in the sector is a strong asset
- Alignment with the vision and mission of Solidaridad
- Demonstrated interest in sustainability, responsible business conduct, and corporate social responsibility
- Currently enrolled in (or recently completed) a Master’s degree in Business, Economics, International Relations, International Development, Sustainability, Fashion Management, or another relevant field at a Dutch HBO or University
- Strong research and analytical skills, with the ability to synthesize information clearly
- Ability to work independently while collaborating closely with team members
- Service-oriented mindset and a proactive, hands-on attitude
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work with people from diverse backgrounds and cultures
- Excellent command of English; knowledge of another European language is an asset
- Legally allowed to work in the Netherlands
