HealthNet TPO Board

  • Solliciteren voor: 28/02/2025
  • Locatie: Amsterdam

HealthNet TPO is an international non-profit organisation that supports people living in areas disrupted by war, disaster and poverty. Our mission is to strengthen communities, help them to regain control and maintain their own health and wellbeing. At the same time, we work to strengthen national health care systems to ensure that health needs are met.

Our community interventions engage local people with local knowledge. We believe that even the most vulnerable people have the inner strength to (re)build a better future for themselves.

HealthNet TPO was established in 1992 and has country offices in Afghanistan, Burundi, South Sudan and with its head office in the Netherlands.

The Board of HealthNet TPO currently comprises five people. The Board recently took the decision to split the joint role of Secretary and Treasurer into two separate functions to distribute the work more evenly amongst Board members and to increase the number of Board members (statutes allow for a maximum of nine members). The Board member who currently holds both roles will continue the role of Treasurer until his term ends in the summer of 2026. The Board seeks to recruit a Board Secretary to start in the second quarter of 2025. The existing Board Secretary will be available to coach the new Secretary during a handover period.

Board meetings generally take place five times per year in person in Amsterdam in Dutch. Committee meetings frequency varies by committee (generally two to three meetings per year) and take place either in-person or virtually. Seeing that HNTPO headquarters are in Amsterdam, candidates that have work experience and a relevant network in the Netherlands are preferred.

None of the Board positions of HealthNet TPO are compensated.

Candidates possessing the necessary background and skills will participate in a virtual interview round. Short-listed candidates will be invited for an in-person interview in Amsterdam.
