Intern international communications & learning
This is a paid intern position at the Programme Strategy and Learning team for 32 hours a week for a period of 4-6 months.

What will you do?
As an intern international communications & learning , you will play a key role in making knowledge generated by our organisation, our partners and through research accessible for different international audiences. These audiences include our partners, other organisations advancing disability rights and possible international donors. Your main activities are:
- Development and implementation of project specific communication and learning engagement plans: For this role you will specifically contribute to the communication and learning engagement plans of the Breaking Down Barriers research project. This is a research project about Liliane Fonds core strategy; Community based Rehabilitation. The second project to which you will contribute is the Humanitarian – Development nexus project. This project aims to advance work of Liliane Fonds in fragile contexts affected by conflict and climate change. Other projects with a strong learning and communication element may be added if they fit the planning.
- Co-organising learning & exchange activities: develop learning & exchange activities for the targeted audiences in collaboration with thematic experts and partners.
- Co-developing learning products for international audiences: In collaboration with thematic experts and partners develop and adapt knowledge products into accessible formats for the target audiences. This includes tools, manuals, best practices, and reports, ensuring they are user-friendly and suitable for the different target audiences.
- Support communication efforts: Assist in the development of content for communication materials, including publications, newsletters, and online resources. The international website will be a key platform for these products. Furthermore, the organisation is piloting with a partner exchange platform to which you can contribute
As an intern international communications and learning you will be supervised by the Learning & knowledge development adviser. You are a part of the Programme Strategy & Learning team within the Programme Department. The International communications adviser and Programme Strategy & Learning Manager are key resource persons for the internship.
The purpose of the Programme Strategy & Learning team is to develop and implement the programmatic strategy of the organisation, which has a central role in setting and meeting the organisational goals of Liliane Fonds. In addition to strengthening the contents of programmes to reach these goals, the team contributes to the (national and international) profiling of the organisation as an expert in the various thematic focus areas.
Who are you and what do you bring?
- Passion for international development: You have knowledge of and interest in the field of International Development, preferably related to disability inclusion, through International Development Studies, Communications or related field.
- Communication, writing and organizing skills: You have strong communication, writing and organizing skills, with the capacity to transform complex information into accessible activities and formats for different audiences.
- Experience with different communication channels: You are familiar with the strategic use of different communication channels to promote activities and share knowledge products ensuring that information reaches relevant stakeholders effectively.
- Language proficiency: You have a professional command of English languages, both orally and in writing. Knowledge of Dutch or French is of added value.
