Experimental Garden
Several Experimental Gardens were held on ‘constructive communication on development cooperation’. The Experimental Garden is a place to learn together, share knowledge, discuss cases and conquer dilemmas. In this way, we develop a shared repertoire of experiences, stories, tools, and effective practices with members. The Experimental Garden focuses on methods to communicate powerfully with target groups from constructive frames about development cooperation. How do we convey realistic images and stories about development cooperation? How do we really engage with target groups and ensure that we achieve involvement? The results from previous living labs are here. Each year, the Partos Communication Group determines the focus of the Experimental Garden.
Research Garden
A spin-off of the living labs was the so-called Research Garden. We went in search of answers to the questions: what makes people perceive a message as positive and hopeful? And what kind of campaigns lead to more loyal donors over time? These questions were central to the intensive and instructive process in collaboration with researchers Mirjam Vossen, Wilde Ganzen, Amref Flying Doctors, Dorcas and Woord & Daad. During the second phase, Red Een Kind and Young Africa also joined in. Mirjam Vossen led the research, Partos and members gave input and then discussed the outcomes and conclusions. These discussions yielded enough information to create a practical checklist with the dos and dont’s on communication in addition to all the results.
