Global citizenship and engagement

How do we ensure that people feel connected to a world we share and are keen to play an active part in international cooperation? International cooperation is about people, their rights and their ability to work together to build a fair and sustainable world. But social engagement does not happen by itself. People want to understand how global developments affect their own lives, to be able to relate to stories and to feel that they themselves can make a contribution.

Partos is therefore working with its members and partners to explore new ways of engaging people with global issues and international solidarity. We look beyond the traditional concept of public support for development cooperation and seek contemporary forms of global citizenship and solidarity.

We share experiences and best practice, organise discussions and meetings, and collaborate with young people, civil society organisations and other new partners.

We are working on:

  • global citizenship and global engagement;
  • new forms of engagement;
  • dialogue with young people, the diaspora and other social groups;
  • stories and best practices;
  • connecting the sector with society.
