Equitable Partnerships

In the Equitable Partnerships track, we place a strong emphasis on equal collaboration, decolonisation, and locally-led cooperation. For many years, Partos has been facilitating the transition towards equitable partnerships in international cooperation by supporting the ‘shift-the-power’ movement, tackling imbalances of power and ensuring greater shared power for local partners in decision-making and setting the agenda for programmes and policies.

Partos and its members have previously worked on equitable collaboration through the New Ways of Collaboration and Strategic Partnerships tracks. Here, too, you can find out more about sustainable partnerships through detailed resources and tools developed in collaboration with a wide range of partners, such as the Movement for Community-led Development (MCLD), the Global Fund for Community Foundations (GFCF), the International Development Innovation Alliance (IDIA) and the RINGO social lab.
