Wrapping Up & Looking Forward: The Final Chapter of the Partos Learning & Innovation Programme

2025 marked the final year of the Innovation Hub hosting the Partos Learning & Innovation programme. And it was a year to remember! We closed our five-year journey with an inspiring final edition of our festival, the Innovation Impulse, and launched a series of publications capturing the collective learning done with you: our partners across the sector. In this article we share our highlights of the Learning & Innovation programme, and show what you can expect from us next!

Five years of Learning, Co-Creation, and Innovation

Since the start in 2021 the goal of our programme was to prepare our sector for an ever-changing future. Together with all our partners and co-creates, we created a space for experimentation, co-creation and shared learning. Our work has always centred on themes identified as urgent by our sector, including:

Publications & Knowledge Bank

This final year we have focused on safeguarding the knowledge we build together. Each learning trajectory culminated in a dedicated publication, bringing together key insights, tools, and experiences:

Furthermore, to ensure long-term accessibility, we launched a Knowledge Bank on the Partos website. This central hub hosts all publications and resources from the past years. Each learning trajectory has its own page highlighting the most relevant findings and tools.

We also collaborated with networks and communities to ensure that tools remain available beyond the programme. For example, from 2025 onward, the Power Awareness Tool will be hosted together with the Belgian NGO platform ngo-federatie.

A Collective Effort

We’re working and living in a difficult moment. We’re facing urgent and interconnected challenges – the rise of anti-rights movements, shrinking civic space – that show that despite budget cuts and organisational changes, we cannot do without investing in learning, collaboration and re-imagining international cooperation. Luckily, we also see that our sector and the people in it are still full of energy and commitment. This collective drive to work towards a more just future is still the most powerful source and driving power for change.

The progress of the Learning & Innovation Programme was only possible thanks to the dedication of our partners, cocreators, session participants, and critical friends. Their questions, challenges, and creativity pushed us to think differently and keep experimenting. We also extend our gratitude to the Dutch Ministry of Foreign Affairs, whose support and funding over the past five years made this programme possible.

Looking Ahead

As the Learning and Innovation Programme concludes, Partos is determined to carry its legacy forward. Our new Coordinator Network and Learning will continue to nurture the themes, learning journeys and publications that have brought our communities together.

Our coordinator will unite organisations around important issues raised by members. Through member involvement we aim to create spaces where experimentation is welcomed and where co‑creation remains at the heart.

In this way, learning and innovation knowledge and practices will not end, but evolve – fuelling ongoing exchange, innovation, and collaboration across the entire Partos network, with members and by members.

One exciting milestone coming up is the publication of the Partos End-Term Evaluation for the Learning and Innovation programme. The Evaluation will be published on our website and socials, so stay tuned!

Even with reduced capacity in our organisation, we remain committed to strengthening network collaboration and engagement. Do you have any ideas for potential collaboration, or any further questions? Please contact ida@partos.nl
